was that they didn't have a legitamate 3-point threat. Teams pretty much dared the huskies to put up three pointers, while they really just focused on clogging up the middle to stop Brockman. To me it is a real testament to just how great of a player Brockman really is. Had opposing teams respected our outside shot, he would have put up some gaudy numbers. The reason I bring this up is because there still is not a legitamate 3-point threat on our team for next year. Without Brockman down low, it could get very ugly. Bryan-Amaning doesn't appear to be the answer down low. These are just observations, but it'll be interesting to see what kind of adjustments Romar will have to make during the offseason. Next year we'll have Turner and Wilcox and look for Overton and Thomas to get better at threes. The best part about next year is we'll be all black so we'll be all right. | ||

Yeah VNV, doesn't Memphis have an arena full of championship banners fielding a team of all skillets? Every team should be req'd to have at least 1 intelligent white guy on the roster. | ||

Wilcox could be a good player down the road but I don't see him contributing much next year. I think for 3 point shooting I think we'll improve as Thomas and Overton I expect to be in the 30% range and I feel Turner will be a 20+ minute a game guy and with Gaddy's passing he'll be given plenty of open three point shots to just nail down. Suggs is also a sleeper in the mix. If he can improve his defense and take over Holiday's minutes he could give us some 3 point shooting. Wilcox will also be fighting for that 5th guard/forwards minutes out of Suggs, Holiday and himself. I think those 3 will be fighting for the remaining 10-15 minutes that will be left. We'll be pretty deep next year but with only 1 senior we'll also be pretty young. | ||
